man handshake

There are a million bottom lines but the reality to building a successful wedding business comes down to believing in yourself and your business. I’ve know people who start a businesses because friends and family tell them that they should. Does the business go far? Usually the answer is no. Within a few years they are doing something else. It doesn’t matter if you are good at what you do; you have to love what you do and believe that you can both reach success, and deserve it.

Think about it for a minute. A wedding business owner who isn’t passionate about their business or service isn’t going to be able to pass on that passion to the potential client. At the same time anyone who doesn’t believe in themselves and their own potential isn’t going to be able to instill a sense of trust in their clients, leading to fearful brides who just might back out. Make sure to read Eva Gregory’s great article for ways to work through these issues. What do you think? Is this something that you struggle with?
