Facebook has continued its evolution recently in a way which has revamped their groups. This originally affected many businesses and encouraged a switch to Facebook pages. However there is still a place for Facebook Groups for businesses, although that shouldn’t be the main focus of your wedding business Facebook efforts.
More recently they have made changes to the chat option, allowing for a pop up every once in a while that is specific to a group that members are already a part of encouraging them to participate in the discussion. Josh Constine’s article approaches this from the possibility that Facebook is recognizing a need to compete with Google+ on this and remind users that they can chat with select people from a specific group in a more private setting.
