The 80/20 Rule: Productivity 

Take a moment to look at your schedule: how much time do you spend on tasks for your clients, and how much time do you spend working on your business?You might find that the majority of your time is spent on work that isn’t producing results. In other words,  80% of what you do each day, month or quarter,  is only producing 20% of the results you could have for your wedding business. 

So what can you do to start making your schedule work for you? How can you start producing the results that your business needs??

The best way to figure out the new direction for your wedding business is to think about your goals and whether the way you run your wedding business is supporting these goals or moving you further away.

So, wedding pro, what are you trying to accomplish? 

  • Be more strategic with how I spend my time.

In addition, this simple shift will enable you to flip your effort vs. result and finally start receiving 80% of your revenue from only 20% of your packages!

The 80/20 Rule: Investments

This is where the goals that you identified earlier come in handy. How quickly you hit your  goals will be partly based on the type of investment that you’re putting into your wedding business, because ultimately:  

20% of the investments you make in your wedding business will end up producing 80% of the increased revenue.

This is going to depend on your specific goals and your wedding profession. Here are a couple of examples: 

Invest in an Additional Team Member

By bringing in a second videographer you can offer a higher level of service, enabling you to provide a higher package.

Invest in a Second Location 

By adding a second location at your wedding venue, you will be able to book two weddings in one day. 

Invest in Education:

Investing in extra training and courses, expert mentors or specialized coaches, will enable you to always improve the tools you utilise to run a successful wedding business. 

By figuring out what will make a greater return on investment based on the goals that you identified earlier, you will finally get the results you deserve in your wedding business.
