Running your own business sounds fun. After all, if you are your own boss you can take lots of vacations, work partial days and generally have a more relaxed life right? Within the first month of running your wedding business you are going to realize that very little of that is true, especially at first.

Running a business is hard work. You don’t have a huge team to work with which means you have to learn how to do everything yourself. But the benefits are huge. First and foremost is the fact that you are doing something that you love, and you can take breaks if you need to as long as it’s within reason. The difference between someone who needs to work for someone else, and an entrepreneur is that a entrepreneur thrives on the challenges which face them daily. They can handle making the hard decisions, love to think outside the box, and take pride in every nuance of their business.

If this is you then you made the right decision. Working for someone else will never make you as happy as working for yourself so stick with it! To learn more about what it takes to run your own business make sure to read the article by Susan Ward. What do you think?
