New Wedding Article Ideas To Spice Up Your Blog

Funky_WeddingWedding Blogging can be tough sometimes, especially coming up with good content that draws in readers. The very first thing you always have to remember is that your content has to be something that brides are looking to read. In other words, when you come up with an idea for a blog post ask yourself if a bride will be doing a search online to find that information. While you can keep things personal and write about random happenings now and again to spice things up, you really need to create content that connects to brides where they are right now.

Something that Marcus Sheridan recommended in his article to get you started is to blog about breaking news and trends in the wedding industry. This means writing about the season’s new popular colors and wedding songs, new staging ideas for the wedding reception. Anything that is new information is something that brides are looking for. Sure they already have an idea of what they want to do, but it’s the rare bride who knows exactly what is available and what is the cutting edge wedding design. What do you think?

Why You Need To Understand Online Content Laws

Writing_With_PenDeciding what you should write about can be tough. However what a lot of people don’t realize is that if their work is published online, whether they are an individual or business, there are laws which govern what can be written and how that content is protected.

For instance, you are writing an article about a wedding and make a crack about how horrible Aunt Sue is. If Aunt Sue or any of her relatives have a problem with what you have said they have a legal right to sue you for liable. Don’t do it!

On a positive note, your content is automatically covered by copyright as soon as you have published it online. While submitting it to the copyright office will give you the option of suing someone if they steal your work, you are still protected, and it is always a crime for someone else to steal your online content (this includes everything on your website). For more information about some of the laws that govern online content make sure to read the article by Jonathan Bailey. What do you think?

Need Fresh Wedding Blog Ideas?

Have you ever wondered where on earth bloggers come up with their information and how on earth they managed to consistently continue being creative? Wedding_InvitationsWhile creativity does play a big part in a successful blog, there are some basic places you can go to help trigger the creative flow.

For instance, if you are writing a wedding blog about wedding invitations, do a quick search for the latest trends in wedding invitations, something wacky that a celebrity recently did for their invitations, and think through anything that interconnects that you may have seen on TV or in a movie and weave that into your blog.

Keep the tone light and keep from getting too serious, or letting the content get too heavy and you’ll increase the likelihood that your readers will share the information. Make sure to take a look at the blog by Lynn Terry, author of ClickNewz where she talks about more ideas for blogging!

Which Type Are You?

blogger

Why do we let words on a computer monitor affect us so much?

Who knows why, but we do.  We see a new comment or message and our hearts do a little flutter.  We hover over the link in anticipation.  (You do it.  Admit it.)

And how deflated do you feel if you see it’s negative feedback?

See, in this day and age of anonymous technology, people feel they have more leeway to be “honest”…or another word for this would be rude. Mean. Nasty.

That’s just one personality type we come across on our blogging ventures.  Click here to read about this personality type and others.
