I blog therefore

While websites and social media are good they aren’t the end all according to Allison Midori Reilly in her article. A business blog is an imperative part of online marketing which fits into its own niche. You can communicate so much more in a blog post than in a Tweet, and it gives that human touch that brides are drawn to.

To get your blog working for your business you need to keep it fresh and exciting while avoiding the temptation to use it to sell products. Of course you can always use hyperlinks in the text to point brides in the right direction every once and a while, but what brides really are looking for is useful information that will help them solve problems in their wedding planning. You need to set yourself up as a reliable source of information and that by itself will lead to interest in your products and services.

  1. Cheers love. Definitely keep it fresh. Been looking round a lot of wedding and bridal blogs since I got engaged and nothing is more of a turn-off than seeing that the latest news story is dated from a few months ago… or worse still, is an article about “LATEST fashionable colour palettes!” from a YEAR ago!
