QR codes are those little square boxes of what looks like meaningless checkers of ink. The information stored in them however can be whatever the owner wants it to be. The QR code is a relatively new way of storing information in the US market and according to Jon Mitchell is primarily being used for marketing purposes.
There has been a lot of talk about all the different things you can do with a QR code, but the bottom line is that smartphone users (who can use their phones to unlock the information in a code) are primarily looking for coupons and deals. This is a great way to offer exclusive coupons or packages to your smartphone using couples which will appeal to their tech savvy lifestyle in a way that will encourage them to trust that if you are utilizing this kind of technology they can trust that you will have a better idea of what they are looking for in a wedding.
