Admittedly, many wedding professionals were a little late getting started with a wedding blog.  But by now, every time you turn around a new one pops up. blah-blog

Seems like everyone everywhere has a blog.

So in this sea of wedding blogs, how do you make yours stand out?

The key thing to remember when you’re writing articles for your blog: it’s NOT about you.

If you want brides to love your blog, find out what they want and give it to ‘em.  That will never steer you wrong.

Check your analytics to see what your most popular blog posts are and do more like them.

This doesn’t mean that you can’t promote your business.  I favor a subtle, “If you like this, click here for more…” teaser to your contact form, blog or newsletter opt-in at the end of every blog post.  Give ‘em the goodies first, then show them how to get more.

But if you only talk about yourself…a mistake we all make from time to time…the only person who’ll be interested in reading it is you.
